Lost USB Drive can't Mount

Hai, anybody pls guide me how to auto save the Downloads file/torrents to alt drive eg; USB in Ubuntu. Because I have problem when do it. Can't Mount/Browser it or suddenly lost the USB. For that I reformat.. so how to find the right way
